A quick Reminder about Roundup 2007! Don’t forget the dates…Wednesday, September 12 through Sunday, September 16. At this time, we have 2 one bedroom Cottages, 1 two bedroom Cottage, the Mini Romancer and 3 Romancers available. While we were only going to offer a 10% discount until April 1, because I've been remiss about reminding you, I'm going to extend the deadline until April 15. In order to keep the discount, the deposit will need to be received by April 30. After that, the regular rates will be in effect. Never fear…if we’re full here at Mountain Brook, there are other accommodations in the area that we can recommend. Make plans – you won’t want to miss this fun gathering!

Registration will be $40 per person with meal costs determined by the number of classmates attending. Since the reason we get together is to BE together, we like to have main meals on the grounds. In the past, we have prepared Thursday night dinner, and continental breakfast on Friday and Sunday with a Saturday brunch. Friday and Saturday dinners have been catered. Based on a survey of those attending the last roundup and because we anticipate a large turnout for Roundup 2007, we are looking at other food options. As we get closer to the event, we will have more definite information for you.

And, I wanted to let you in on the scoop about Mountain Brook. I am composing my next Babblings which will include the news that, after much talking and many restless nights, we have reached the decision to sell Mountain Brook. Gus and I have a June 2008 retirement date in mind and hope the sale will occur before then. Of course, Maqelle will be with us until the event happens. We have owned and operated our property for almost 28 years, and it's really getting time to do more fishing! Anyway, it will be our fondest desire that new owners wanting a change in lifestyle will want to maintain our property as a quiet getaway place. Wouldn't that be grand?
